Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU CWR

Location: Manahawkin, NJ 08050

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with ICU experience to join our team. The RN will work under general supervision, providing comprehensive nursing care, identifying patient problems, and responding to a variety of situations in the ICU.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge and the ability to create effective care plans while communicating with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care and perform interventions across a range of patient situations in the ICU.
  • Identify patient issues through data collection and assessment, even before explicit changes in vital signs occur.
  • Formulate and implement nursing care plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Work in collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
  • Flexibility to float to all units within the hospital, including telemetry units, when necessary.

Skills & Experience:

  • Required:
  • Minimum of two years of ICU RN experience.
  • Must have recent bedside ICU experience (within the past six months).
  • Ability to be flexible with work hours.
  • Strong analytical abilities to develop effective care plans.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and hospital staff.

Education:

  • Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN).
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications & Licensure:

  • Required:
  • BLS (AHA).
  • ACLS (AHA).
  • CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours).
  • NIHSS Certification.
  • Valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

Language Requirements: Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Schedule:

  • Hours: 36 hours per week, 12 hours per day (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 days per week.
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Every other weekend and 2 winter holidays; no on-call requirements. Flexibility to float if ICU census is low.
