Job Summary:

Aptive seeks a Financial Management SME to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) efforts to implement financial system modernization. The ideal candidate has past executive-level healthcare experience and has led or contributed to setting vision and direction for a large and complex healthcare organization, preferably with VHA and/or the Department of Defense Healthcare System.

Demonstrated familiarity with VHA’s Veteran Integrated Service Network (VISN) structure is also critical.

The expected compensation at the time of requisition creation, is between $150,00 and $200,000. The position offers with medical, dental and vision coverage. Additional benefits such as 401K, disability insurance and PTO are provided as well.

Primary Responsibilities:

VHA is looking for a candidate with focused experience in finance and acquisition/logistics. Other desired experience would include developing strategic and tactical plans, communicating policy and information to large organizations, preparing and/or overseeing development of annual financial statements, overseeing managerial cost accounting and actuarial modeling, and supporting research and development.

  • Masters Degree
  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience
  • Deep understanding of VA and VHA financial and budgetary landscape
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Chief Financial Officer experience at both the medical center and VISN levels
  • Experience in implementing a financial system such as CALM and/or the Financial Management System (FMS)
