Controller

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Controller in the Real Estate - Sales & Lease industry, based in Manteca, California. The Controller will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring accurate record-keeping and financial reporting.

• Utilize Sage 100 to process financial transactions and generate reports
• Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements and reports
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Collaborate with the team to develop financial strategies and make informed business decisions
• Participate in the budgeting process, monitoring expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Conduct regular financial analysis, preparing detailed reports and forecasts for the management team
• Manage the organization's cash flow, keeping an eye on revenue streams, expenditures, and investments
• Coordinate with external auditors, ensuring all audit requirements are met
• Oversee tax planning and compliance to minimize tax liabilities and ensure the organization meets its tax obligations
• Lead the finance team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the Real Estate industry
• Proficiency in financial software, specifically Sage 100
• Excellent understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel
• Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
• detail oriented qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional leadership abilities, with strong decision-making skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and supervise.
