Overview:
This position is budgeted for $20.00 per hour and is non-negotiable.
Dynamic Systems and Intelligent Machines (DSIM) Lab at the San Diego State University has an open PhD position in the area of control of robotic systems. Highly motivated applicants with extensive experience in control and robotics and strong background in mathematics are encouraged to apply.Applicants should have B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
For a qualified PhD candidate, the stipend and tuition will be provided. Continuation of financial support is contingent upon satisfactory academic/research performance and availability of funds.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education & Experience- Completion of sufficient upper division coursework
- OR -Equivalent of two years full time progressively responsible related experience in lieu of coursework.
- B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive experience in control and robotics.
- Strong background in mathematics.
- Candidate must reside in California and live in a commutable distance from SDSU at time of hire.
- Job offer is contingent upon satisfactory clearance based on Background Check results (including a criminal record check).
