Payroll Accountant

We are seeking a Payroll Accountant in New Holland, Pennsylvania. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity within a dynamic team. The Payroll Accountant will be instrumental in managing financial statements, reconciling bank statements, and general ledgers, as well as handling other accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and management of financial statements
Perform bank statement and general ledger analysis and reconciliation
Post journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue
Record and maintain fixed assets
Undertake Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management duties as required
Conduct payroll recording and reconciliation tasks
Act as a liaison for vendors to reconcile any billing discrepancies
Utilize various accounting software systems such as ADP
Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Concur, and others for effective job delivery
Perform auditing and accrual accounting functions as needed
Handle other tasks assigned within the scope of the role.

Knowledge in 401k - RRSP Administration
Experience with About Time software
Understanding of Accounting Functions
Knowledge in Accrual Accounting
Experience in Auditing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle confidential information
Strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Relevant detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred
Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation.
