Summary:

The TBS test technician position is responsible for performing various tasks such as tire tests, mounting, shipping, cutting, buffing and both indoor and field tire tests without assistance.

The TBS test technician is also responsible for assisting engineers in data collection, entry, and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive, process and order TBS test tires. Prepare TBS tires for shipment. Organize, label and store TBS tires in inventory.
Use TBS mounting and balancing equipment to mount and balance TBS tires.
Prepare TBS field test tires by hot branding, weighing, and recording all tire information.
Perform all TBS final inspections from returned field test tires including visual inspection, taking pictures, final measurements
Mount and scan all returned TBS field test tires on tire 360 laser profile machine
Scan all returned TBS field test tires on tire shearography machine
Perform TBS tire section & analysis using TBS tire saw and section scanner
Assist with cutting all requested OTR tire sections
Assist with receiving, shipping and scrapping of all OTR tires and sections
Operate forklift and crane to facilitate the movement of TBS and OTR tires within the laboratory
Attend safety training, maintain clean and safe working environment.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

Good communication skills. Able to work well in a group and follow supervision.
Strong technical competence.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma.
TBS tire mounting and handling experience
Forklift experience
Operate Heavy Machinery
