Salary Description: $65,000 - $75,000

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Textile Engineering
  • 1- 3 years of experience in the textile industry
  • Manufacturing process experience preferred.
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable to changing business needs.

Responsibilities:

The Textile Engineer is a critical role that provides information to the management team to:

  • Develop new products
  • Create accurate time standards
  • Assist in creating operation sequences and instructions
  • Analyze and improve plant capacity and efficiency
  • Work closely with procurement team on the evaluation and development of supply chain partners.
  • Promote a manufacturing culture that drives high quality products.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with the Customer and Product Development teams during sample making of new styles with the purpose to detect a constraining or difficult operation.
  • Keeping ongoing communication between Customers, Product Development and production supervisors to find the best manufacturing performance.
  • Supporting planning & production to define and adjust plant capacity and capabilities.
  • Daily problems solving for issues regarding production matters related to cutting and sewing methods or line balance.
  • Identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives and projects.
  • Working with cross functional teams to improve training programs to enhance employees’ capabilities.
  • Supporting facility on implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Continuously reviewing work for efficiency and revising layout plans for best output.
  • Researching, identifying, testing and proposing alternate materials and suppliers.
  • Staying current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in textile engineering, materials science, and manufacturing technology to advance innovation in the category.
  • Assisting other operators with maintaining production and quality.
  • Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety rules, directions, and procedures.
  • Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of assigned work area, machinery and shared spaces.
  • Handling additional tasks assigned by Management.
