LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Ideal candidates have excellent multi-tasking abilities, analytical skills, and ability to work as a team member, and are well-organized with strong attention to detail. This is a full-time hourly position located at one of our fourteen locations throughout Northeast Ohio.

Qualifications
  • One year of LPN experience
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records software
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Required Tuberculosis testing, Hep B and Flu vaccination documentation.
Essential Functions
  • Proper room set-up for procedures (bx tray, proper equipment needed) with cleanliness
  • Scheduling follow-ups with SMART scheduling.
  • MIPS- charting to compliance.
  • Anticipates the needs and future needs of the Provider and acts to meet those needs, while maintaining proper sterile and non-sterile techniques when indicated.
  • Administer injections ordered by the provider
  • Provide patient education as directed by the provider
  • Monitor and complete the lab documents, bx book, telephone encounters, and team task box.
  • Handle all clinical phone calls in conjunction with the providers
  • Maintain and follow up with biopsy results for patients
  • Perform proper wound care as directed by the provider
  • Assists with autoclave procedures and quality controls
  • Completes clerical functions as directed such as prior authorizations, scheduling new and follow up appointments, answering phones, scanning documents into the electronic record
  • Maintain knowledge of electronic medical record
  • Demonstrates proper judgment and decision-making skills when necessary and adheres to practice policies. (OSHA/HIPAA)
  • Coordinates with peers to ensure timely completion of assignments, manages time and multiple tasks at once.
  • Anticipates the needs and future needs of the Provider and acts to meet those needs
