Accountant, Sr.
We are searching for an Accountant, Sr. on behalf of our client. This is 6-month contract assignment. The person will lead a special project. This assignment will primarily focus on a Prior Period Adjustment Project to process Division Order Deck changes to the revenue bookings in the Excalibur accounting system.
This role will also assist with accounting setups in Excalibur.
Location: Houston, TX 77002
Responsibilities
Expected deliverables will be improved process flows and documentation, completed reconciliations, and tag and clearing aged balances. Will work closely with revenue team and project controller's to understand existing monthly close process, background on the business structure and current issue to be resolved.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, plus 6+ years accounting experience required. A CPA, CMA, MBA or Master's in Accounting is strongly preferred.Experience with handling complex account reconciliationsOil and gas industry experience preferredSelf-starter, proactive mindsetTenacious approach to digging into complex problem solving
