Controller

Our Robert Half team is sourcing a contract to permanent Controller position for a leading new home and remodeling company specializing in turnkey exterior services. From siding installation, custom millwork, to residential roofing, this company manages thousands of projects throughout the Southeast each year.

Location: Jackson, GA 30233

Contract to permanent placement

Annual Permanent Salary: 125-128K (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all financial and accounting practices and functions within the organization
• Establish, with COO, financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
• Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all divisional sectors.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
• SOP, policy, & procedure development and implementation.
• Coordinate with internal teams for monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations and returns.
• Manage legal and accident claim management.
• Serve as a backup for all accounting base positions in a time of absence or vacancy.
• Foster company culture and growth through dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
• Oversee and support the accounting team - 4 direct reports
• Carry out random and scheduled audits of workflows and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Proficiency in 3M
• Experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with CRM
• Ability to work with Crystal Reports
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prior experience in Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
