Senior Accountant - Miami
Company Overview:
The Accounting Supervisor will be working in a multi-organization shared service environment and will be responsible for maintaining various general ledgers, including analyzing, reconciling, and recording journal entries. Preparation of monthly stand-alone and consolidated financial statements, ensuring these results comply with GAAP and IFRS.In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and other activities related to ensuring the company's financial position is represented accurately. The Accounting Supervisor will actively support the company's results forecasts and will report these periodically to the parent company.
The Accounting Supervisor will also guide other team members to ensure company results are presented correctly. Other duties include responding to multiple inquiries from various areas and parent companies and producing periodic reports used by numerous regions of the organization.
The supervisor will also provide information required by the tax team to support the preparation of the company's annual tax returns. Provide support as needed to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the accounting team and complete other related duties as required.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions- Maintain a General Ledger by analyzing, reconciling, and recording journal entries by GAAP—responsibilities for all closing, consolidation, and elimination activities in ORACLE ERP. Review and analyze results versus budget, trends, and by service. Close various G/L books, review various consolidations, and prepare and record elimination entries. Review and validate the EOM upload file to the parent company.
- Prepare various monthly and quarterly reports for internal and parent companies. This includes supporting our tax, financial, and compliance teams.
- Maintain company forecast and prepared multiple financial reports with periodic company financial position. Actively assist the Treasurer in preparing the company budget and other activities as needed.
- Maintain multiple prepayments, accruals, loans, and deferred revenue schedules.
- Preparation of Sales & Use tax reports needed for timely completion of the company's monthly multiple state tax returns obligation. Ensure all transactions are correctly accounted for and reported for this purpose.
- Assist related entities' personnel regarding financial reports, taxes, and other items as needed.
- Provide support to ensure effective and efficient operations of the accounting team and perform other related duties as needed.
- Additional projects and assignments as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, required
Work Experience- 4-6 years of experience in accounting or a related field. Required
- 1-3 years Oracle ERP software Required and
- 1-3 years Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks Preferred
- 1-3 years Experience in a multi-organization environment (shared services) required
- 6 to 8 years of experience in accounting or similar position.
- Ample experience working in a multiple-entities environment. Consolidation of financial statements is a must have.
- High Proficiency in ORACLE, MS Office products with intermediate to high level skills in Excel and QuickBooks. Detail oriented and high level of accuracy, Analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills. Ability to interact with Management as well as with co-workers.

Licenses and Certifications- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Finance & Accounting/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated above. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
