Part Time Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist - Contract - Part-time - Carmel, NY

Proclinical is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a dedicated team.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role involves working 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility for extended hours. The primary focus will be on specimen collection and patient interaction.

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in phlebotomy.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOP.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to perform maintenance and quality control on testing equipment.
• Proficiency in preparing and packaging specimens for shipping.

The Phlebotomist's responsibilities will be:

• Greet and identify patients according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Obtain billing and testing information as per SOP.
• Review test requisitions for proper test collection.
• Assemble necessary equipment for specimen collection.
• Collect specimens for drug testing following SOP and order of the draw.
• Match requisitions to collection tubes for completion.
• Centrifuge specimens when necessary.
• Perform maintenance and quality control on test kits and urinalysis equipment.
• Prepare and package specimens for shipping to testing locations according to SOP.
• Handle customer service duties, including phone inquiries and patient encounters.
• Collect patient payments as per SOP.
