A Local Water and Wastewater Plant Service Company is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and professional Treatment Plant Maintenance Technician to join their operations team in the Berkeley, Morgan & Jefferson County region(link removed) The Mechanic / Technician will assist with the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment for approximately 20 plants and lift stations in this area.

Qualifications:
Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, electric & gas motors
Background in pumps, plumbing & minor electrical work
Valid drivers license (MVR will be checked per the companys insurance policy)
Commercial Driver License a plus. Must be willing to obtain a CDL with company training & assistance
Class 1 wastewater certification is preferred / willing to obtain
Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs unassisted; Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb and twist continuously throughout the day
Dependable with the ability to work independently, safely, and efficiently

Pre-employment background and drug testing will be required

Responsibilities: Complete mechanical maintenance on Water and Wastewater Systems, Pump Houses, and ancillary equipment

Operate truck size cranes and hoists in removing and replacing equipment
Clean and upkeep assistance for numerous sand filters
Assist as needed at visiting multiple plants daily to inspect, collect and test water and sewage samples
Use computerized systems to monitor plant processes
Abide by strict federal and state laws of wastewater and water quality
Responsible for all documentation and paperwork per DEP, OSHA, ISO, DOT and company standards

Minor housekeeping and custodian duties as needed

Compensation & Scheduled Overview: Hourly rate based on related experience and licenses / certification

Typically, daytime shift, but some evenings, weekends and holidays may be required
Overtime hours will be required
Company service vehicle provided for work travel
