Accounting Clerk
This is a full time, 100% ONSITE, TEMPORARY-to-HIRE contractual opportunity that will lead to a permanent position (pending your performance) and is located near Doylestown, PA. The working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30a - 4:30p. The estimated temporary period is roughly 6 months but can change.
A well-established non-profit organization is looking to add an Accounting Clerk to their team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing/matching invoices, and assist with some accounts receivables and purchasing tasks. The company is fully electronic which requires someone who is extremely technically sufficient, can work their way around a computer well, and has intermediate excel skills (filtering, sorting, and basic formulas like SUM, etc.). In addition, detail orientation and organization are must-have skills.
Responsibilities:
- Process all ERA (electronic remittance advice) forms within 5 working days of receipt.
- Post cash receipts
- Match invoices and packing slips to ERA and prepare for input on computer. If discrepancies exist, contact the vendor to resolve the issue
- Ensure all expense processing forms have a complete audit trail, including proper manager approval; Fiscal Officer approval; purchase order detail; copy of bid, if applicable; and other back-up documentation necessary to process payment check.
- Track Program expenses and other Fiscal processes using Excel
- Maintain vendor files.
- Communicate via email with Providers/Suppliers as needed
- Assist with Purchasing Department functions such as preparing purchase orders, etc.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- 1+ year's experience in Accounts Payables (or Receivables may also be considered)
- Strong Excel understanding (able to work within their setup of Excel, involving filtering//sorting & basic formulas)
Good to Have:
- ERP Financial Software Experience (SAGE 100 or MAS 90 preferred, but not required)
