Quickbooks Controller

Job Description:

As Controller, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, internal control policies, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage cash flow and handle financial forecasting, budgets, and variance analysis.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts, financial audits, and tax compliance.
• Maintain and monitor internal controls while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting team members, fostering a positive and growth-oriented work environment.
• Supervise and support the implementation and use of QuickBooks to maintain financial data integrity and automate workflows.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as auditors, tax professionals, and senior management, to ensure financial health and compliance.
• Develop, refine, and enforce policies and procedures to improve efficiency and mitigate risk.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or Controller role.
• Hands-on expertise with QuickBooks, including advanced functionality and reporting capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups).
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build effective accounting teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
