Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Scientific and Technical Writer to support the creation of high-quality scientific, technical, and communication materials. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in plain-language writing, project management, and operational planning while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Scientific and Technical Writing:
  • Prepare and edit publications including journal articles, reports, fact sheets, brochures, and presentations.
  • Conduct literature reviews and draft summaries and reports for internal and external distribution.
  • Ensure all materials adhere to scientific and technical accuracy standards.
  1. Communication and Collaboration:
  • Provide guidance on health, research, and scientific communications.
  • Collaborate with researchers, executives, and team members to draft and refine documents.
  • Advise staff on communication strategies and publication best practices.
  1. Data and Documentation Management:
  • Maintain and update research databases and repositories.
  • Develop templates and guidelines for documentation such as posters, proposals, and abstracts.
  1. Expert Support and Mentorship:
  • Offer expert advice for scientific communication initiatives and materials.
  • Mentor and train staff on technical writing best practices.

Required Skills:

  1. Expertise in communication best practices, especially in health, research, or scientific fields.
  2. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  3. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  4. Knowledge of organizational planning and project management.
  5. Experience in monitoring and evaluating communication trends and providing actionable recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of research, health, or medical fields.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at various levels, including senior leadership.
