Operations Support

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Operations Support role based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This position plays a critical role in our industry, ensuring the smooth operation of our processes and providing essential support to our team.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in meticulous planning and submitting of outage requests for electrical zones within substation and distribution systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety tagging and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures through the creation and review of switch orders.
• Manage, compile, and distribute outage request data to all project stakeholders.
• Utilize knowledge of electrical one-line diagrams and schematics for efficient and safe outage planning.
• Act as a dispatcher when needed, directing and dispatching work crews to locations based on customer requests and specifications.
• Coordinate activities with Distribution and Transmission system operators to optimize the use of resources and maintain safety.
• Communicate critical information to Distribution and Transmission system operators for an effective and safe response to customers.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a detail oriented manner, both verbally and in writing.
• Collaborate with other departments as necessary, directing and dispatching personnel or securing assistance.
• Liaise with 911 centers in a detail oriented manner, ensuring seamless information transmission for efficient and safe emergency response.
• Perform varied administrative functions as part of the role.
• Other related duties as assigned or necessary. • Proficiency in Customer Service, demonstrating the ability to effectively handle queries and complaints in a detail oriented manner.
• Experience in managing Office Functions, including planning, procedures, and review.
• Ability to interpret language and diagrams, including schematics, for clear and effective communication.
• Experience with Specification tasks such as Request For Information from project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Electrical systems, specifically distribution systems.
• Familiarity with Lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures in a substation environment.
• Understanding of One Line operations support.
• Ability to Ensure Compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Experience in planning and coordinating tasks in an Operations Support role.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
