Senior Accountant - Outsourced Accounting

Robert Half has partnered with a client in the Baltimore metro are to hire a Senior Accountant to join their firm as an Outsourced Accounting Specialist.

This role requires proficiency in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Perform day-to-day accounting tasks for multiple clients, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
3. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns for clients.
4. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries regarding financial matters.
5. Collaborate with internal team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial reports.
6. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for each client, adhering to confidentiality and security protocols.
7. Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
8. Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed to discuss financial performance and provide insights and recommendations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Proven experience working as an accountant, preferably in a client-facing or outsourced accounting role.
• Experience in government contracting accounting is a plus
• Experience in Quickbooks and gov con ERP systems (Procas, Unanet, Deltek)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
