HR Generalist

A long-standing manufacturer in Chattanooga is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for permanent placement. As a HR Generalist, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions such as ensuring compliance with labor laws, recruiting and onboarding, and improving the safety program, and approving payroll for hourly employees.

Responsibilities:

• Lead recruiting efforts and onboard new employees
• Manage the weekly payroll processing through outsourced payroll management
• Partner with external vendors and benefits administration and assisting with open enrollment
• Maintain and revise employee policies and procedures
• Employee relations, developing retention strategies, and improve training and development programs
• Maintain OSHA logs and be part of the safety team along with management
• Documentation and develop new safety programs proactively

• 5+ years of progressive experience in broad based generalist roles
• Payroll processing
• Exposure to safety records keeping and training
• Benefits open enrollment experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Employee relations experience
