About the Role

The Office Administrator is a key member of the Stratford School's administrative team, responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the school's front office. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient individual who can manage administrative tasks, support the school leadership team, and provide excellent service to students, parents, and staff.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in office management, preferably in a school setting, and a strong ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

You will
  • Provide superior customer service to students, parents, and staff members
  • Be proactive in responding to parent concerns
  • Manage student enrollments, withdrawals, and wait lists
  • Proofreads and edits all outgoing correspondence
  • Maintain student and office files
  • Screens and takes messages, including fielding/answering all routine and non-routine questions
  • Assemble student packets, enrollment packets, and other materials as necessary
  • Assist and attend special events and other school functions
  • Cares for sick and injured students

What We Are Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working in a school environment is preferred
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • Proficiency with office management tools (google, school management software, Microsoft Office)
  • High degree of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
Physical Requirements:
Generally works in a standard office environment. Must be able to bend, stoop, and perform extensive walking. Occasionally, lift up to 30 pounds. Works in a fast-paced, high pressure environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a diverse array of contacts.

Extensive computer time and sitting are necessary in this position.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
