Growing law firm based in Santa Cruz, CA has an immediate opening for a Litigation Paralegal! This Litigation Paralegal will support up to four attorneys with a focus on plaintiff-side employment and civil rights litigation matters. As a Litigation Paralegal with this firm, you'll be responsible for supporting the full litigation lifecycle from intake through trial, with significant focus on discovery management.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of California-based civil litigation experience in a paralegal or legal assistant capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive discovery processes in civil litigation cases
- Prepare for upcoming trials, ensuring all necessary documentation and evidence is organized and accessible
- Drafting legal documents as needed to support case progression
- Collaborate with attorneys in the preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations and motions
- Maintain a Mac-based software system for efficient case management
- Provide support in employment litigation, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations
- Utilize your experience in civil rights litigation to support cases as required
Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience with California-based civil litigation in a paralegal or legal assistant capacity
- Demonstrated expertise in employment litigation or civil rights Litigation is a plus but not required
- Proven experience in plaintiff side litigation is a plus
- Proficiency in Discovery processes is required
- Ability to draft legal documents with precision and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work on-site in Santa Cruz on an occasional as-needed basis
