Senior Manager - Human Resources

Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Manager of Human Resources for our energy-related client in Houston, TX.

Bachelors Degree and 10+ years HR leadership experience in the oil & gas or related industry required

Excellent business acumen and oil & gas operations knowledge required

Base Salary up to $160k DOE plus 20% bonus opportunity and benefits package

Role is 4 days per week in West Houston office (1 day per week remote) and 20% travel

The Senior Manager - HR is responsible for strategic human resource planning for the organization. This role is responsible for directing all the people functions of the Operations groups (Corporate, Management, Field Operations and Manufacturing).

This role reports to the VP-HR and works strategically with all members of the Operations Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

Work with the Operations Leadership Team to strategically develop and plan HR initiatives to align with the overall corporate plans

Translate the strategies into HR department goals, objectives, and systems

Responsible for ensuring successful implementation of corporate initiatives and processes which may require balancing corporate goals with business unit or regional practices, goals, and objectives.

Lead and guide HR team by overseeing employee benefits, talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development and compensation.

Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.

Accountable for staying within budget for Human Resources team.

Leads implementation of strategic workforce planning for Company

Function as a strategic business advisor to management of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues.

Work to establish succession planning for assigned organizations.

Lead and/or oversee key HR initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree is required; MBA or masters degree a plus.

Minimum 10+ years of HR experience required

Minimum 5+ years of HR leadership level experience encompassing recruiting, employee relations, benefits & compensation, HR compliance, performance management, training and employee development

HR experience in the Oil and Gas industry preferred

Must be a strategic and results-oriented leader, have a strong business orientation and be able to react quickly and effectively to changing situations

Effective written and verbal communicator, in both one-on-one and group discussions

Up to 20% Travel as needed to successfully implement strategic HR initiatives

SHRM-SCP Certification preferred
