Job Description
My client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead their manufacturing operations at their Greater Buffalo facility. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, lean production methodologies, and team leadership.
- Production Oversight: Manage and coordinate production activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Process Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure operations comply with FAA, AS9100, and ISO standards, along with internal safety regulations.
- Scheduling & Workflow: Develop and optimize production schedules to maximize output and minimize downtime.
- Resource Management: Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment effectively to meet production goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Performance Tracking: Utilize KPIs and metrics to monitor efficiency, identify issues, and drive corrective actions.

The Successful Applicant- Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CNC machining, composites, metal fabrication, and assembly processes in aerospace applications.
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred).
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
