Security Operations Specialist: I (Junior)

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Security Operations Specialist located in Columbus, Ohio. This role operates in the security industry, with the main function revolving around monitoring and responding to security-related events and activities, maintaining detailed logs, and coordinating responses.

This is a second shift role, 2pm - 10pm, Friday - Tuesday. 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Answering inbound calls concerning security or suspicious activities
• Efficiently monitoring surveillance systems and alarm systems
• Creating comprehensive reports related to security events and maintaining meticulous logs of all calls and activities
• Collaborating with relevant security and non-security colleagues for assistance and coordination in resolving issues
• Maintaining a high intensity environment while effectively multi-tasking
• Utilizing monitoring tools to ensure security operation center efficiency
• Handling security operations with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in answering inbound calls, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Robust understanding of security principles and practices.
• Experience with various monitoring tools and technologies.
• Ability to maintain detailed logs of security incidents and operations.
• Proven skills in resolving security-related issues swiftly and effectively.
• Previous experience in a call center environment is desirable.
• Excellent written communication skills for reporting and documentation.
• Sharp eye for identifying suspicious activity and responding appropriately.
• Capability to create comprehensive reports on security operations.
• Familiarity with standard security operations and protocols.
• Experience in working within a Security Operation Center.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems and their operation.
