Job Description

The main responsibilities for the Production Supervisor will be to:

• Oversee production schedules and manage capacity resource planning to meet customer requirements, utilizing departmental resources, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Communicate effectively with Production, team members, and support personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure accuracy of operation sheets and blueprints while managing the flow of parts through operations, work centers, or departments.
• Enforce safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment, and conduct or assist with accident investigations as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, facilitate team meetings, and troubleshoot operational issues to develop and implement effective solutions.
• Contribute to departmental budget development and monitor compliance.
• Assist with department audits as scheduled by Quality Assurance.
• Train and develop team members, evaluate work performance, and provide performance management to foster positive employee relations.
• Conduct performance appraisals, recommend wage adjustments, participate in the hiring process, and support employment decisions, including terminations, in alignment with company policies.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Production Supervisor will have the following background:

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or related fields
• Proven manufacturing experience with a focus on efficiency, quality production, and cross-department collaboration.
• Ability to manage and oversee multiple departments during the second shift, including machine shop, press, inspection, functional testing, welding, and maintenance, while maintaining effective communication with first shift.
• Excellent communication skills for addressing employee questions and providing guidance, with knowledge of welding and machine shop operations.
• Aerospace industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; general industrial engineering background is sufficient.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards is advantageous.
• Oracle experience is beneficial.
• Proficiency in conducting and delivering performance appraisals effectively.
• Strong safety management experience to ensure a secure working environment.
