Tax Director/Manager - Corporate

We are offering an exciting opportunity to a Public Tax Manager in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves working on various tax-related tasks, such as processing tax returns, managing tax research projects, and providing guidance to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve complex tax returns and government tax examinations
• Ensure all federal and state income tax returns are prepared accurately, timely, and in compliance with laws
• Manage and delegate tax research projects to achieve accurate and efficient outcomes
• Actively participate in client meetings and assist with tax planning efforts
• Serve as a resource for tax preparers and business assurance staff on specific tax issues or questions
• Take on client service responsibility for clients and work directly with them
• Inform firm personnel about important tax developments affecting the firm’s clients
• Supervise the tax team and provide on-the-job training
• Assist the Business Assurance (Audit) Department with larger clients when necessary
• Tax Director
• Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is required
• Experience with ATX Tax Software is necessary
• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx is expected
• Knowledge of CCH Sales Tax is essential
• Proficiency in using Compliance software is required
• Must be adept in handling all Accounting Functions
• Experience in preparing Annual Income Tax Provision is required
• Must have a strong background in Auditing
• Understanding and implementation of Compliance procedures is essential
• Must have excellent Documentation skills.
