They Opportunity
They are seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in Financial Operations (FinOps) and a valid Series 27 license. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, overseeing regulatory compliance, and delivering strategic insights to enhance financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely reporting and reconciliations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and implement best practices
- Monitor and ensure compliance with SEC regulations reporting requirements related to Series 27
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and strategy development
- Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as needed
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Certified CPA
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial operations.
- Active Series 27 license is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Up to $130k per annum depending on experience
