URBN Program Manager
Role Summary:
URBN is seeking a Program Manager to manage the Data Science and Machine Learning organization's portfolio, which drives a diverse range of projects spanning logistics, personalization, merchandise planning, process automation and other strategic initiatives.This role will play a critical part in ensuring projects are aligned with organizational priorities and executed efficiently using Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have strong program management experience, proficiency in Agile processes, and the ability to coordinate across technical and business stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the intake, prioritization, and execution of work for a highly diverse portfolio of data science and machine learning projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with technical and business leads to assess project feasibility, resource needs, and ROI across multiple focus areas such as digital experience, supply chain optimization, and customer analytics.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify cross-team dependencies, risks, and capacity constraints, and resolve program-level challenges proactively.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Facilitate communication between data science, engineering, and business teams to ensure alignment on objectives.
- Maintain a centralized view of ongoing initiatives, providing transparency and visibility into the data science portfolio.
- Implement and champion best practices for program management within the team.
Role Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of program or project management experience, preferably with a focus on data science, machine learning, or technology projects.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs involving technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Jira, or similar).
- Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities.
