Overview: Under supervision of the radiologist, this position provides patients with various types of CT procedures.
Responsibilities:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)- *Performs CT procedures.
- *Obtains guidance from the radiologist when order appears unclear or inappropriate.
- *Obtains pertinent histories and explains exam results to patient.
- *Procures results on Stat exams and calls results.
- Answers all phone calls and schedules special procedures.
- Maintains work area and equipment.
- Helps to train and orientate new staff and students to job functions.
- Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Minimum Requirements)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES- Proven venipuncture skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, interactive and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with doctors, nurses, technologists and support staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a stressful environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and the ability to work independently without specific supervision in a self-confident manner.
- Must be professional, courtesy and must have a positive attitude.
EDUCATION
All post high school education must have been obtained from a recognized College or University. Additional education may be substituted for experience requirements should the substitution not conflict with State or Board certification/license requirements.
- Associates Degree in Radiology Required
- 1 year Imaging Related Preferred
- Active IN Radiologic Technologist License Required
- ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
- CT registration under the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required within one year of hire
- Certified Basic Life Support Certification Required
