Berea - Accounting Clerk

We are in search of a diligent Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Government sector, located in BEREA, Ohio. In this role, you will provide assistance to customers, process transactions, maintain records, and handle various accounting and administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with inquiries via telephone, writing, electronically or in person
• Accurately process transactions related to customer accounts
• Maintain and update customer records and transactions
• Utilize computer and other electronic equipment to research and retrieve data
• Conduct analyses of expenditures and report accordingly
• Prepare and send out correspondence to customers for various business purposes
• Review and invoice customers, electronically and/or in paper format
• Deposit miscellaneous receivables
• Serve as a backup for various accounting and administrative functions
• Perform any other duties as assigned
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing debits and credits.
• Proven experience in handling credit card charges, deposits, payments, and reconciliations.
• Ability to process credit card transactions with accuracy.
• Familiarity with customer service in a call center environment.
• Strong skills in analyzing trends in financial data.
• Ability to update documentation in accordance with accounting standards.
• Previous experience in a government role is preferred.
• Comfortable using accounting software and related technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
