Operations specialist

Overview:

Responsible for ensuring properties are operating in accordance with Company standards and maximizing the effectiveness of operational systems and operations processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop programs and assist with initiatives to improve the operational performance of the portfolio.
• Responsible for providing operations, applications, and software training to others breaking down information in a systematic/logical manner.
• Answer operations questions and provide guidance to the property staff. Exchange complex information and interpret standards.
• Answer questions and respond to requests through the helpdesk, phone, and email requests within the service level agreement requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operations questions and issues related to all property management applications and software products.
• Utilize tracking system to enter support requests and resolutions.
• Develop, maintain, and update standards, resources, systems, and procedures related to the operation functions of the department and portfolio.
• Identify process improvement opportunities.
• Manage property management operations software and products, including user administration.
• Monitor banking software for all returned and failed payments and provide documentation for bank reconciliation to Accounting.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
• Proficient in standard information technology tools, including Office products.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
• 2+ years’ progressive experience in multi-family housing.
• 1+ years of experience with Yardi preferred.
• Must possess excellent time-management, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residence.
• Able to work efficiently with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
