Fund Accountant / Financial Analyst

Location:

Mountain View, CA (Hybrid: 2 days on-site)

Salary:

$115,000 base + bonus + carry

About the Company:

This organization acts as the venture capital division of a major company and invest in sectors like life sciences, healthcare, AI, Robotics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, close reporting packages, investment accounting, private company valuations, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Track investment data and exits with precision, producing and analyzing fund and portfolio reports.
• Drive process improvement initiatives using cutting-edge tools like SQL and Apps Script to implement scalable solutions.
• Support investments by reviewing portfolio company financials, creating pro-forma capitalization tables, and coordinating funding wire transfers.
• Collaborate across teams, including legal, to meet tight deadlines and support the broader investment and reporting processes.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of Big 4 audit experience, particularly with venture capital clients.
• CPA preferred but not required (existing team members all hold CPA credentials).
• Highly detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
• Enthusiastic about process improvement and the use of technology to enhance efficiency.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
