Accounting Clerk

We are offering a long term contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk located in El Cajon, California. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be involved in the processing of payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, and providing administrative support to the operations manager.
This role is significant in the industry, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out the processing of all incoming ACH payments to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Handle the receipt and payment processing of all accounts payable invoices, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Manage credit card transactions, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded and processed.
- Prepare and maintain the Accounts Payable aging report and process weekly check runs to ensure all payments are made on time.
- Take responsibility for matching invoices with the correct purchase orders, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all invoices.
- Maintain and file office copies of checks, purchase orders, invoices, and other company documents in an organized manner.
- Distribute paid invoices at the designated time to ensure all relevant parties are informed of payments.
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date vendor files, ensuring all vendor information is accurate and accessible.
- Initiate contact with customers for payment on past due accounts, ensuring all payments are received in a timely manner.
- Assist with the creation of purchase orders, ensuring they are accurate and sent to the correct vendors.
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Familiarity with Billing procedures
- Proficient in Data Entry tasks
- Capable of handling Invoice Processing
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Oracle software
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks
- Familiarity with SAP software
