Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in SLEEPY HOLLOW, New York. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity within the financial industry. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for preparing and updating financial statements, managing accounts, and utilizing software systems for accounting functions.

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the regular accounting cycle
• Update financial statement spreadsheets on a monthly basis to ensure accurate and current financial data
• Manage monthly account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions
• Oversee prepaid expenses, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Record and track fixed assets and accrued expenses
• Manage interest recording on bonds for accurate financial reporting
• Reconcile all cash and investment accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Utilize Matrix Care software for various accounting functions
• Apply proficient use of Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
• Perform other accounting functions as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the financial operations. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of Computerized Accounting System
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in preparing Annual Budget
• Proficiency in Cash Flow Analysis
