Summary of Responsibilities:
The Logistics Office Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the inbound and outbound logistics operations within a closed-loop pallet remanufacturing facility. This role ensures efficient movement of raw and remanufactured pallet materials, supervises a team of material handlers, and maintains accurate inventory and shipping records.The Logistics Office Supervisor works closely with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to optimize workflow and meet production demands.
Pay: $25.00/hour
Essential Job Function:
- Inbound & Outbound Logistics Management:
- Coordinate and monitor all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain communication with carriers and vendors to manage scheduling, load planning, and freight costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all logistics operations.
- Supervision & Leadership:
- Manage, train, and supervise a team of material handlers to ensure efficiency in loading, unloading, and warehouse organization.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement process improvements as needed.
- Foster a culture of safety and accountability among team members.
- Inventory & Documentation Control:
- Maintain accurate records of pallet inventory, shipments, and returns within the closed-loop system.
- Utilize logistics and warehouse management systems to track product flow and optimize stock levels.
- Generate reports on inventory movement, shipment accuracy, and logistics costs.
- Operational Efficiency & Problem-Solving:
- Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve workflow and reduce downtime.
- Work with other departments, including production and quality control, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Address and resolve any transportation or inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in logistics, warehouse supervision, or a similar role within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and inventory management systems.
- Leadership Abilities: Strong supervisory skills with experience in training and managing warehouse teams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to assess issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment as needed.
