Overview:

Great Day Improvements / Champion Windows - Quality Technician

As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring the daily Manufactured products and will assist in leading a lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting finished products and raw materials samples using appropriate devices to ensure conformity.
  • Performing pre-production and in-production tests of equipment, material, and manufactured products.
  • Determining the causes of product defects and proposing improvements to the production process.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, standards, procedures, and work instructions to comprehend the quality expectations.
  • Checking that the production line adheres to standards and procedures.
  • Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
  • Communicating with Managers/ Production Supervisors and team members.
  • Providing daily reports to the Quality Manager.
  • Additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • 2+ years’ experience in QC is preferred.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of measuring devices, gauging, and working with close tolerances.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is desired but not mandatory.
  • Able to work scheduled overtime on a regular basis.
  • Open to work different shifts when needed and as business dictates.
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
