My client is a company focused on building and staffed with exclusively building-focused folks. They are a smaller family-feel company that does approximately $40M annually. They are growing slowly by adding a steady stream of multifamily builds to their pipeline.

Company Overview:

  • Work Type: 95% negotiated
  • Backlog: Strong they have jobs on hold due to this missing superintendent
  • Team Size: Currently 11 superintendents
  • Project Location: 80% in greater Madison and 20% within Wisconsin in a couple of hours of Madison
Job Description
  • Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and standards.
  • Supervise and lead a team of construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.

The Successful Applicant
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Dedication to safety and quality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency with major softwares.
