Staff Accountant

Responsibilities- General Accounting:
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in generating reports for management to support decision-making.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Support the AP/AR team with invoice processing, payment approvals, and cash applications as needed.
- Assist with collections and ensure accurate posting of payments.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts to support financial planning.
- Track and analyze variances to ensure budget compliance.
- Compliance & Audits:
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
- Special Projects:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad hoc accounting and finance projects.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to their implementation.
