Job Description:
Our client is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join this dynamic team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with experience in other legal fields to transition into family law. The ideal candidate will not only have a passion for law but also possess a compassionate and kind demeanor, understanding the sensitive nature of family law issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal representation in various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence cases.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for court proceedings.
- Meet with clients to understand their needs, provide legal advice, and develop case strategies.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout their legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure comprehensive and cohesive case management.
- Participate in mediation and settlement negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Georgia State Bar.
- Demonstrated ability to practice law in the state of Georgia.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and kind demeanor.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professional integrity.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Previous experience in family law is not required; the firm is willing to train the right candidate.
