Charter Sales Specialist

Overview:

Support the Charter Sales Department by presenting the various service types to the customer, preparing costing price outs, coordinating one-way charters, and maintaining existing charter accounts. Provide support to both the cargo charter sales and potentially passenger charter sales groups.

Responsibilities:

Charter Customers:

  • Prepare all customer requests for cargo charters in a timely manner. There may be a requirement to support passenger requests if needed.
  • Initiate existing customer requests gathering their records and preparing costing price outs for both cargo and passenger charter requests using the Flight Pricing Tool.
  • Review client historical data and prepare new cost/fee documents based on current pricing.
  • Present alternative options for service requests to better align with the needs of the customer. Ensure charter customers are familiar with other service types. Provide appropriate points of contact.
  • Acknowledge new customers and gather, prepare, and distribute all the necessary information required for the appropriate Sales and Marketing Director for handling.
  • Participate on customer calls/site visits as required.
  • Respond to all customer requests for quotes in a timely manner to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain existing customer accounts and provide regular communication regarding the status of the charter.
  • Coordinate a one-way charter purchase request with a return flight charter (same or another client) to optimize AAWW revenue.

Operations/Administration:

  • Prepare and issue charter advisories and confirmations on a timely basis.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Group to ensure customer charter requirements are implemented accurately based on the type of cargo and/or passenger needs.
  • Track payments through daily bank wires and review to confirm for accuracy.
  • Ensure all CBU (Commercial Business Unit) contracts are stored in the Legal Contract repository.
  • Gathers required information to submit to the department analyst in preparation for the charter revenue reporting process.
  • Review the passenger and cargo charters information to ensure compliance with all key corporate policies, including Antitrust and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Credit, Billing and Collection policies.
  • Comply with DOT and FAA regulations and US Government contractor requirements for all charter documentation.
  • Maintain Sales manuals, guides and polices.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4-5 years of experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in aviation. A background at a charter broker or commercial airline is a plus.
  • Experienced in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create cooperative working relationships with all global departments.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and teamwork skills to resolve business issues.

Salary Range: $60,000 -$76,000

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
