Your role and responsibilities
This is a part time hourly position. Schedule is flexible with 3 full days in the office, or 5 half days (one of which can be remote). In this role, you will have the opportunity to process accounting transactions for the Accounts Payable team in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal guidelines and procedures, and external regulatory requirements. You will also showcase your expertise by handling complex payment issues and resolving vendor/customer disputes that may arise.
The work model for the role is: #LI Onsite or Hybrid depending on schedule chosen.
This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Machine Automation division in {insert region}. Main stakeholders are both our internal and external customers.
You will be mainly accountable for:- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing procedures including accruals and reconciliations.
- Reviewing, verifying, and processing incoming invoices and expense reports from vendors and employees and matching invoices with purchase orders, ensuring their accuracy and completeness before initiating payment.
- Entering financial data accurately into the accounting system and maintaining up-to-date records.
- Generating regular reports on accounts payable activities, including aging reports, outstanding payments, and cash flow analysis.

Qualifications for the role- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience highly desired in Accounting, Finance, or related program of study.
- 1-3 years accounts payable, general accounting experience, or directly related internship experience.
- Knowledge of accounts payable.
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software (such as Sage, Quickbooks).
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Proficient in data entry and management.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
