Software Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Create test plans for new products and for new features on existing products.
• Develop manual and automated test scripts for Rigaku’s products.
• Perform black box testing on embedded software releases and provide feedback to software engineers.
• Black box testing of software releases is approximately 50% of this role.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware problems by analyzing log files.
• Analyze the software development and test process to determine areas in need of improvement by establishing applicable process metrics.
• Understand the manufacturing environment and daily user needs associated with testing applications.

Minimum Qualifications (must have):

• BS/MS in Computer Science, EE.
• Experience with embedded software on complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience with static code analysis tools.
• Experience with automated testing of embedded devices.
• Strong scripting skills (python, perl, shells, etc.).
• Experience with implementing test frameworks.
• Familiar with software source control packages.
• Be able to clearly document issues for developers in a tracking system and generate formal reports as needed.
• Ability to partner with individuals and teams, build cross functional relationships and demonstrate boundary less commitment

The ideal candidate also should:

• Have experience with testing Analytical Instrumentation
• Experience testing embedded systems running Linux
• Experience with C++ and QT
