Consumable Sales Representative - Sterility Maintenance
This field-based, territory management position will have you visiting customer sites, managing dealer networks, participates in the design and implementation of sales strategies, identifying prospects and presenting new concepts and products and ensures optimal service.
You will identify and generate leads for future business opportunities and be responsible for timely and accurate reporting to sales and marketing. A job well done means you have utilized excellent listening and communication to increase Customer satisfaction and exceed expectations across multiple decision levels within the territory (CA, WA, OR, AZ, UT, TX, CO, NM & LV).
This is a remote based Customer facing position. To support and service our Customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of one of the following state: Arizona, California
What you will do as a Sales Representative
Sell STERIS in-process steam sterilization packaging to the pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing sectors. Consult with Customers and evaluate needs in order to recommend, sell and support innovative solutions and ensure Customer satisfaction.Respond to Customer inquiries, troubleshoots issues post-sale and manages and supports the dealer network as STERIS field technical resource.
Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and Customer relationships.Communicate Customer requirements and assist in transitioning the sale of services to the appropriate internal cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Marketing and Technical Service).
Evaluate non-routine complaints from Customers and take appropriate action to bring to resolution.
Identify opportunities to grow sales by researching potential product/service areas that may benefit Customers. Educates Customers on product line and services.
Provides competitor "intelligence" to marketing and operations functions.
Provides timely reporting of activities in order to measure and progress against goals.
Maintains current knowledge of industry and market trends as well as technical knowledge and understanding of products and services. Attends educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required: Bachelor's degree
3 years of sales or Life Sciences industry work experienceAbility to travel up to 40-50%
Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements.
Preferred: Experience in validation, quality, technical services, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Experience with technical products/servicesExperience in consultative selling
General knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Biotechnology Manufacturing, and Medical Device industries
