Overview/ Job Responsibilities:

The Launch Engineer plays a pivotal role in coordinating various business departments to ensure the successful and timely launch of new products or services, while adhering to budget constraints. In the aerospace industry, this role focuses on designing and implementing rocket launch systems.

The Launch Engineer is responsible for planning development tests, reviewing flight and test data, and producing comprehensive launch procedures and criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with product development, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align project objectives and ensure seamless launch execution.
  • Launch Planning: Develop and implement detailed launch plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful product or rocket launches.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Plan and oversee development tests, analyze flight and test data, and assess results to refine launch procedures and improve performance.
  • Procedure Development: Create and document launch procedures, criteria, and quality assurance measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Status Reporting: Provide regular updates and status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Take on management and quality assurance roles to monitor project milestones, ensuring that all aspects of the launch meet established criteria.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with all team members and stakeholders, addressing any issues or concerns promptly to keep projects on track.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in launch processes, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and manage competing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality assurance.
  • MUST BE US CITIZEN FOR GOVERNMENT CONTRACT OR CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
