Plant Controller

We are currently seeking a skilled Financial Plant Controller to join our clients team in Warren, Michigan. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing all aspects of financial management which includes plant accounting, cost accounting, cash management, budget and forecasts preparation, regulatory as well as financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete review and organization of all company's accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition, GL and Counsel.
• Assess the existing technical accounting issues in order to develop measures for their optimization.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies that strengthen internal controls.
• Manage the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and report on the results, periodically.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing process of the company.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage preparation of regulatory reporting as per schedule.
• Prepare monthly financial statements in a timely manner and present to the company's executives and top managers.
• Ensure compliance with state reporting requirements and all relevant laws, including timely tax filings.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing automotive accounting/finance role.
• Profound knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
• Significant experience with general ledger functions, the month-end/year-end close process and financial statement Preparation.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong mathematical and administration skills.
• Candidate must hold a BSc Degree in Accounting or Finance.
