Production Artist: Picks & Capos
If you have an understanding of, and passion for current illustration, design and type trends, as well as some knowledge of prepress print techniques/technology (especially for screenprinting), we'd love to meet you- with those skills and a love of rock-n-roll, you'll fit right in.
Duties & Responsibilities: This list is representative of the duties and responsibilities of this position, but is not intended to be all-inclusive.- Create art for guitar picks and capos using client-supplied artwork, as well as communicating with clients and interpreting their direction to create new artwork.
- Prepare files for print - this involves analyzing all details, including size specs, color selection, type consistency (kerning, leading, punctuation, etc.), film printing, etc.Expertise in editing vector files.
- Prepare color separations for screen/pad printing.
- Archive and update graphic files.
- Suggest improvements and modifications to formats and processes to increase the quality of production and ensure that standards are met
- Assist with the proper functioning of printer and film hardware.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as preparing files for print.
- Great visual, conceptual and technical skills.
- Understanding of, and passion for design, layout and typography.
- Knowledge of prepress print techniques/technology.
- Mac-proficient with excellent Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign skills.
- Great communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and organization.
- Must be comfortable working independently as well as part of the larger team.
- Music and guitar product knowledge and interest is a plus.
- This position requires presence on-premises from 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.

Benefits
Competitive Salary commensurate with ability. The hourly pay range is initially set to be between $25.00-$35.00
