Shift Notes: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM/40 hours scheduled/32 hours guaranteed/the client is allowed to cancel up to 1 shift per week/Must be willing to float to units where experienced

- Non-billable hours have been adjusted to reflect 16 hours for each assignment.
- Client or Vendor may cancel an Assignment in progress with 7 days' written notice without penalty.

This position will work under the supervision of the pharmacist performing routine duties in packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Serves as a liaison between the customer and the pharmacist.Becomes proficient in preparing compounded intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition products, and chemotherapeutic agents within compliance with USP regulations. Effectively uses pharmacy computer systems to investigate and respond to missing medication requests.
Consistently demonstrates an ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose the appropriate course of action. May educate and train peer Pharmacy Technicians, Technician Externs, Technician Trainees, and volunteers. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS- AZ State Board of Pharmacy License and National Pharmacy Technician Certification - REQUIRED
- Minimum 24 months of current Acute Pharmacy Technician experience - REQUIRED
- Sterile compounding with sterile hazardous compounding experience - REQUIRED
- Certifications must be American Heart Association OR American Red Cross and active upon submission - MUST BE INCLUDED IN SUBMISSION - REQUIRED
- No License Hits - REQUIRED
- Travel experience - Preferred
