Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION (number of years and type required to perform the position duties): High School diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE (number of years and type required to meet an acceptable level of performance):

SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and understand the English language; ability to perform basic mathematics; ability to learn

multiple cardiac rhythm abnormalities and convey these to the registered nurse expeditiously carry out directions; must possess a mature, sympathetic and caring attitude with the ability to be sensitive to the varied needs of the
GH patient population; must be flexible, cooperative, and able to meet the demands of the Cardiac Monitoring
Technician position using appropriate communication techniques. Ability to provide clerical support to the Nurse
Manager and staff through various activities. Ability to facilitate unit activities through interaction with other hospital
departments. Ability to contribute to the fiscal integrity of the unit. Is a role model for Service Excellence

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND: Sitting for more than half the shift. Ability to remain alert and focused during long periods of tedium and relative

inactivity punctuated by frequent false alarms. Must be able to lift heavy boxes at times when assisting the unit

secretary or assuming secretarial role. Some light typing required.
