Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a motivated Department Manager to perform duties in support of the direction and vision of the transportation group. Expand Colliers Engineering & Design Highway and Bridge services into clients such as TxDOT and municipal government.

Oversee, direct, and manage the work effort of assigned staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and manages operations to ensure the quality of the technical products.
  • Establishes effective long-range objectives, goals, and plans for assigned team.
  • Provides technical and management leadership to the assigned team.
  • Develops and executes marketing program in conjunction with discipline goals.
  • Advises and assists professionals in other groups when expert knowledge and expertise is required.
  • Manages activities so an adequate profit is earned on all projects.
  • Reviews monthly productivity and labor hour utilization-rates, reports and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Assigns projects to staff and schedules work.
  • Evaluate Employee Performance in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in related field.
  • TxDOT related work experience preferred.
  • Texas Professional licensure in area of expertise.

  • Communication- Possess and demonstrate the ability, skills, and initiative to exchange information effectively and efficiently.
  • Program and Project Management- Possess and demonstrate the ability to lead effectively and efficiently, plan, organize and manage procedures, protocols and/or staff to achieve the desired results of specific projects and/or programs.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
