Payment operations specialist

We have an open position in our Payment Services Department. This role includes operational tasks commonly found in financial services firms. The tasks include Funds Transfer (Incoming/Outgoing), ACH Transaction Processing, OFAC-DISPOS Verification, Check 21 Processes (incoming clearing & outgoing cash letter), amongst others.

The incumbent will also participate in reconciliations and investigations to resolve incidences in execution processes.

Additionally, the role involves cooperating with other positions when support is needed during employees' absences.

Responsibilities:

  • Process daily wire transfer transactions (Outgoing/Incoming/Internal) via FEDWIRE and/or SWIFT ALLIANCE, using established systems
  • Ensure customer instructions adhere to security procedures, such as callbacks and signature verifications
  • Ensure compliance with the Travel Rule and other related regulations when processing wire transfers
  • Ensure the OFAC program engine is working effectively, indicating if the transaction needs OFAC approval
  • Assist and gather information related to wire transfer payment investigations or pending issues, within established guidelines
  • Assist in reconciling any discrepancies related to the Payments Service area
  • Comply with all Bank policies, ensuring that procedures are followed when performing Paying & Receiving transactions on the T-24 system and other required equipment
  • Assist in the process of Check 21 and ACH transactions if necessary
  • Process wire transfers received through BS Online
  • Collaborate on duties or follow-ups of incidents or errors related to wire transfer payments investigations according to established procedures
  • Assist and support the coordination of receiving and sending payment orders and other documentation between SFC and MLOC II
  • Contribute to the fulfillment of department and Bank objectives and goals
  • Assist in identifying pending transactions in reconciliation reports, and request necessary information for their regularization
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers according to Department needs.
